.DISCUSSION...

Clear skies and S to E winds below 15 kts are expected today into
tonight. Waves below a foot are likely on the northern portion of
the island while wave heights may build between 1 to 3 feet on the
southern facing shorelines. Tonight, patchy dense fog is possible
(10-30% for visibility less than 1 SM, mainly in the open waters between
the island and Thunder Bay, ON.). No precipitation is expected
through the afternoon and evening hours, however, there is a low
chance for showers (10%) in the early morning hours of Tuesday.

For aviation coming from Traverse City, VFR conditions are expected
along the entire route. IFR cigs/vis will be present tonight if
patchy dense fog develops. Widespread fog development is not
expected over the open waters of Lake Superior tonight.
