596 FNUS73 KMQT 111149 FWSMQT Spot Forecast for Betchler Marsh Unit 1...USFS National Weather Service Marquette MI 749 AM EDT Fri Jul 11 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0800 EDT on July 11. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Lingering high pressure will keep daytime weather today precip-free, with moist southerly to southeasterly flow around 5 to 9 mph with a few gusts in the evening hours to 15 mph. That moist flow will keep RHs from falling below 50 percent today. Tonight, rain chances increase from the south with an earliest reasonable start time of around 10 PM (around 15 percent chance), but more likely (30+%) will be around 3 AM along a warm front. A brief dry period is expected in the afternoon hours (exact timing uncertain) before a cold front approaches in the late evening hours (after 8PM). Ahead of that cold front, some thunderstorms are possible, with chances of lightning up to 50% by 5 PM Saturday. While generally a third of an inch of precip is forecast, it is dependent on if one or multiple cells move over the site. Chances of only 0.1" or less of precip are around 10%, but chances of over 1" of rain are also around 10%. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (25-35 percent).
