FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
602 AM EDT Sat Jun 28 2025

.DISCUSSION...Mostly dry weather is expected today as high pressure
brings back warmer temps in the upper 60s to low 80s, warmest west.
RH lowers into the mid 40s to 50s percents this afternoon with lake
breezes moderating at the lakeshores. That said, stronger southerly
winds around 5 to 10 mph will prevent the Lake Superior breeze from
being as impactful on wind direction, temperatures, and RH. Chances
for showers and thunderstorms return this evening and tonight from
the southwest, bringing up to 0.25" of rain in areas where stronger
storms occur. Expect a full RH recovery with lows in the mid 50s to
mid 60s.

A break in precipitation is likely Sunday morning before shower and
storms develop again in the afternoon, this round has better
potential for accumulation as well as a slight chance of damaging
winds and large hail. Otherwise, expect even warmer temperatures in
the mid 70s to upper 80s with minimum RH near 50 percent.
