.DISCUSSION...
No fire weather concerns are expected today through the rest of the
week as high pressure ridging early this morning gives way to rain
showers and non-severe thunderstorms today into Saturday. Both days
bring potential for rainfall amounts to exceed 0.25 inches, but the
coverage on Friday across Upper Michigan is more expansive. Today`s
precipitation is more isolated with average rainfall totals around
or below 0.05 inches. Chances for amounts up to 0.5 to 0.75 inches
is between 30% and 60% both days. Minimum humidities remain above
30% through the rest of this week into next week. Otherwise, the
strongest winds will be today in the Keweenaw where southwest to
west wind gusts increase to around 20 mph.
