FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Fri Jun 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...A weak cold front will press west to east through the
region, supporting increasing shower coverage by this afternoon
across mostly western and central Upper Michigan. A stray shower
can`t be ruled out in the east. Thunderstorm potential looks to be
low (<25%) and mainly focuses over the south central by afternoon.
Otherwise, cooler and more moist conditions will support highs in
the 60s to low 70s and minimum RH in the 40s.

High pressure builds in afterwards. Mixing on Saturday may support
borderline elevated fire weather concerns in eastern Upper Michigan
with afternoon lake breezes, but winds look to be less than 15 mph at
the moment.
