FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Wed Sep 10 2025

.DISCUSSION...

While high pressure ridging building into the area today into this
weekend will bring lighter winds to the sfc, remnant low pressure
troughing over the region will allow low-level cloud cover to remain
over the U.P. today into tonight. Thus, expect min RHs to struggle
to get into the 60 percents by this afternoon and for high
temperatures to only get into the 60s, with some scattered showers
and a few rumbles of thunder being possible over the central and
east until the evening hours. Given the humid conditions at the sfc
today, we may see fog come over the entire U.P. tonight (thus,
expect a full RH recovery tonight). Some drier conditions move in
Thursday before light rainfall potentially returns late Friday to
Saturday.
