FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Tue Jun 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...A cold front will slowly move west to east through
Upper Michigan today and tonight, supporting widespread shower and
thunderstorms. By late afternoon, most activity is expected central
and then east. Widespread 0.5 to 2 inches of rainfall are expected.
Daytime temperatures ahead of the boundary may climb into the mid to
upper 70s while behind the front, temperatures look to cool into the
50s and 60s. Increasing moisture is also expected under
southwesterly flow. Strong winds of near 25 mph will be possible in
the east half this afternoon, as will strong storms capable of
producing strong to damaging winds.

Dry airmass and high pressure builds in after the front. This may
enable RH values to fall into the 20s across the interior west half
on Wednesday, but light winds are expected.
