FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
603 AM EDT Sun Aug 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather persists today and into the work week. Temperatures this
afternoon peak in the upper 70s to lower 80s across much of the UP
and in the mid/upper 70s near Lake Superior. RH falls to around 35-
40% for most of the area, but the interior-western UP may see values
approaching 30%. Expect light west to SW winds, with lake breezes
developing off of the Great Lakes during the afternoon. Monday will
be almost a repeat of today, but a more moist airmass working in
will result in minimum relative humidity falling only as far as the
mid 40s.
