FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Tue Aug 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Despite high pressure being the main feature of the forecast beyond
today and tonight, abundant low level moisture will keep minimum RHs
around or above 50 percent through at least this weekend. For today,
drizzle and light rain showers will remain over the UP, especially
in areas where light northerly winds up to 10 mph will flow upslope
from Lake Superior. Precipitation ends overnight and skies clear out
for Wednesday, with light winds of 5-10 mph remaining out of the
north and northeast.
