FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Sat Jul 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Rain showers are expected to become more widespread this morning,
then gradually focus eastward by afternoon. Some thunder will be
possible, but severe weather isn`t expected. High pressure and dry
conditions will filter in from west to east by afternoon, which will
help keep the region dry tonight and Sunday. It will also help allow
upstream Canadian smoke to filter into the region tonight and
Sunday. Daytime temperatures in the mid 60s to mid 70s are expected
across Upper Michigan with minimum RH values in the 50s across the
west. Winds are expected to be 10-15 mph or less today, but change
direction as today`s rain maker moves through the region. Generally
speaking, southerly winds will become northeasterly and then
northerly this morning and afternoon.
