FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Sat Jun 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...Weakening high pressure shifts east through Lake
Superior today, promoting mostly dry conditions across Upper
Michigan. The exception will be isolated to scattered afternoon
showers that develop in north-central Wisconsin could lift north
into far western Upper Michigan. Otherwise, mostly southeasterly
flow is expected. Gusts may reach 15-20 mph across the interior
west, but increasing moisture into the region will limit fire
weather concerns there. Borderline conditions are expected in
eastern Upper Michigan though, thanks to mixing allowing RH values
to fall into the upper 20s while warming into the mid to upper 70s.
