...NEAR ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...
.DISCUSSION: Another warm, breezy, low RH day is expected today. A
wide swath of west and central Upper MI will see afternoon RH
drop toward 25 percent as temperatures rise into the 65 to 70
degree range under sunny skies. South to southwest winds will gust
to 20 to 30 mph. RH Recovery tonight will only reach 50 to 60
percent across the west to north central. A weakening cold front
may bring a few showers to northwest Upper MI on Saturday. Any
rainfall would likely be less than one-tenth of an inch.
Otherwise, expect lighter winds on Saturday with gusts mostly
under 20 mph. Minimum RH will also be higher than today. Minimum
RH will be lowest across portions of central Upper Michigan at 35
to 40 percent. Unseasonably warm conditions and no rainfall are
expected Sunday and Monday, and potentially Tuesday as well. RH is
not expected to fall to critical levels on any of the 3 days, but
winds should gust to 20 to 25 mph on Sunday and possibly Tuesday.
A passing cold front Tuesday night will bring a chance of showers,
followed by much cooler conditions and possible lake effect rain
showers on Wednesday.
