FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
602 AM EDT Sat Aug 2 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather persists this weekend and into early next week.
Temperatures this afternoon peak in the upper 70s to lower 80s
across much of the UP and in the mid/upper 70s near Lake Superior.
RH falls to around 35-40% for most of the area, but the interior-
west and south-central UP should see lower values closer to 30%.
Expect light WNW winds today for most, though gusts to around 20-
25mph will be possible across the Keweenaw. Lake Superior and Lake
Michigan lade breeze development may lead to sudden wind shifts this
afternoon. Sunday, temperatures climb into the upper 70s to lower
80s once again, with RH falling to around 35-40% for most.
Otherwise, expect light WSW winds and potentially some lake breeze
development during the afternoon.
