...DRY AND SUNNY FOR SATURDAY...
Dry weather is expected through the weekend. Skies clear out
after sunrise today, and though we should come in warmer than on
Friday, temperatures will still generally be limited to the lower
to mid 50s across the central and western UP, and in the lower to
mid 40s in the east and nearer to Lake Superior. Dewpoints look
to fall back sharply in the interior- western areas of the UP this
afternoon, yielding minimum RH as low as 25%...but northerly
winds remain on the lighter side there with gusts below 15mph. The
eastern UP will be breezier as gusts up to 20mph linger most of
the day, but will note that more moist conditions are expected
there. Sunday, expect increasing cloud cover from west to east
through the morning. Dewpoints are not expected to fall back as
much as on Saturday, but RH could still fall back to near 30% in
the eastern UP and below 40% elsewhere as temperatures peak well
into the 50s. Meanwhile, expect winds to shift over to the south,
with gusts picking up to 15-20mph across the western half of the
UP during the afternoon.
