FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
521 AM EDT Fri Apr 18 2025

.DISCUSSION: After a morning lull, showers and storms return
along cold front this afternoon. Some storms may become severe
over Menominee County yielding large hail. Precipitation wanes
through the night in the wake of the cold front with 24 hour
totals expected mainly between a few hundreths in the northwest to
around 0.30" over the south and east. Otherwise expect highs in
the 40s over the far west and 50s to near 60 elsewhere. RH should
struggle to settle below 75% this afternoon and will likely
remain near 90% or higher through Saturday morning. Northwest
winds behind the cold front are expected to gust up to 20 mph
today.

Lows tonight settle into the low to mid 30s. Outside some light
snow showers in the west early, drier weather is expected on
Saturday with highs in the 40s to low 50s and min RHs between
40-60%, lowest RH near WI. Northwest winds are expected to gust up
to 20-25 mph, highest east. High pressure then favors dry weather
the remainder of the weekend.
