.DISCUSSION...Chances for showers/thunderstorms increase early
this morning as the first of two expected waves of convection
develop across our coverage area today. The first wave over SD/NE
early this morning will move into western MN and continue to
weaken. A second round is expected to develop over eastern MN into
western WI this afternoon-evening, with some storms strong to
severe. Multiple chances for precipitation then remain in the
forecast through Friday night, drying out over the weekend, then
returning for much of the first half of next week. Warm
temperatures today will become much cooler from Friday on through
the rest of the forecast. Thus, the incoming rain plus cooler
temperatures will significantly reduce fire weather concerns.
