...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT IN EFFECT ACROSS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA
FOR ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...
.DISCUSSION...Mid summer temperatures through Sunday. Highs in
the lower 90s are expected west of I-35 Saturday. South winds may
gust over 35 mph in MN Saturday through Sunday. Sunday will also
feature a dry cold front pushing into western MN during the peak
burn period, with winds switching around from the southwest over
to the northwest. These winds will be accompanied by RH values
nearing 30 percent each afternoon. Cooler air arrives next week,
with temperatures back to near normal. Rain chances look minimal
over the next 7 days, although there is a small, but increasing, chance
along the cold front Sunday.
