...The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Scott, Carver and Sibley
  Counties.

.Ongoing river rises paired with the forecast for more rain late
week will result in water levels climbing to minor flood stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING TO SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River near Jordan.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
  river begin to flood and private sanitary sewers may experience
  problems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 745 PM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 24.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.0
    feet Thursday evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
