...The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.

.The gage at Morton will continue to rise as increase flow from
upstream arrives over the next 48 hours. Additionally, expected
rainfall Wednesday through Thursday could prolong or potentially
worsen ongoing flooding issues.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON TO FRIDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Morton.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in
  North Redwood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 900 AM CDT Monday, the stage was 19.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 21.3 feet early Wednesday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    21.4 feet on 05/31/2004.
