...The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County.

  Cottonwood River at New Ulm affecting Brown County.

  Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
  record.

* WHERE...Cottonwood River above Springfield.

* WHEN...From this evening to Friday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 930 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 16.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest of 31.0 feet Tuesday morning. It will
    then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    31.4 feet on 06/18/1993.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cottonwood River at New Ulm.

* WHEN...From Monday evening to Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flood waters begin to impact Cottonwood
  Street west of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 900 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 4.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening to a crest of 15.9 feet early Wednesday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.9 feet on 03/30/1962.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Redwood River near Redwood Falls.

* WHEN...From late Monday night to late Friday night.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, Low lying areas, mainly farmland, and some
  roads along the river begin to experience flooding; bottom of
  Swayback bridge

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 800 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 2.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Tuesday morning to a crest of 7.2 feet Wednesday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    7.2 feet on 07/10/2019.
