Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties. .The 2 to 4 inches of rain that has fallen during the last 24 hours over southwestern Minnesota has led to a sharp rise in area rivers. Rivers should continue to rise over the next day or two as runoff and/or flow makes its way downstream. However, rivers look to begin to fall again afterwards. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
