...NWS Damage Survey for 08/20/2026 Tornado Event...

.Overview...Radar and social media video revealed a tornado
occurred in the Mobile River Delta on August 20th, 2026 just west
of Hurricane south of the railroad tracks. This tornado occurred
in an area completely inaccessible to ground survey crew. Until
high resolution satellite imagery becomes available, the tornado
is preliminarily being given an EFU rating. This will be updated
once satellite imagery becomes available, along with likely
refinements in the overall track, width, and intensity.

Survey Summary:
Estimated path of the Mobile River Delta tornado. The area is
completely inaccessible to ground survey crews and will rely on
high resolution satellite imagery to estimate the true path of
the tornado. Times and track are estimated via radar tornado
debris signature and video via social media.
