Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Inland Southeast Mississippi...
Southwest Alabama And The Extreme Western Florida Panhandle
National Weather Service Mobile AL
108 PM CDT Sun Aug 3 2025

...LOW DISPERSION VALUES ARE EXPECTED PRIMARILY ALONG AND EAST OF
THE I-65 CORRIDOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...A stationary front or trough of surface low
pressure looks to be draped near the I-65 Corridor to over the
Gulf coast in the near term, setting up an unsettled weather
pattern to open up the work week. Scattered to widespread showers
and storms are expected both Monday and Tuesday with the higher
chances for rain near and east of I-65. Some of the rains locally
heavy. Minimum relative humidity remains above critical levels.
Transport winds will be light and variable in direction across
the surface boundary Monday and mostly southwest by Tuesday
afternoon. Afternoon dispersion will be generally poor to fair
Monday and generally poor southeast of I-65 Tuesday.

Fog potential and other remarks...Patchy night time fog possible
the next couple nights, especially in areas that see moderate to
locally heavy daily rainfall.
