...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Alabama, including the
  following counties, Butler and Crenshaw.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 752 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
    moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding is expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
    rain have already fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Georgiana, McKenzie, Industry, Shell, Brushy Creek, Oaky
    Streak, Avant, East Chapman, Chapman and Pigeon Creek.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
