The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Volusia County in east central Florida...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 654 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of
  Daytona Beach, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, South Daytona, and Holly
  Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and frequent cloud to ground lightning are
occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you
can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
