...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM EDT THIS
EVENING FOR BREEZY EAST WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR LAKE COUNTY...

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 6 PM EDT this
evening.

* AFFECTED AREA... Northern Lake and Southern Lake.

* WIND...East winds near 15 mph, gusting 20 to 25 mph

* HUMIDITY...Falling 30 to 35 percent this afternoon

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is prohibited. A burn ban is in effect for Lake
  county due to moderate to severe drought conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
