...June 2025 Weather Summary Across East Central Florida...

Average temperatures for June 2025 ended up near to just above
normal by 1 to 1.5 degrees across the area. Notably, it was the 8th
warmest June on record at Sanford and 9th warmest on record at
Melbourne. The subtropical ridge axis often remained across to just
north of the area during the month, which focused greater shower and
storm coverage either well inland or west of east central Florida.
This led to overall drier than normal conditions for June, with many
primary climate locations having rainfall totals that were around 2
to 4 inches below normal for the month.

...Temperatures...

Temperatures were near to slightly below normal to start the month
due to a weak cold front that had moved through at the end of May
and stalled near Lake Okeechobee, as well as an increase in showers
and storms through the 3rd and 4th as this boundary eventually
shifted northward. Highs across much of the region remained in the
80s through the 4th. Minimum temperatures fell as low as the 60s
north of Orlando during the first couple days of June, which were
the coolest temperatures observed for the month. Afterwards and
through much of the rest of the June, temperatures remained near to
slightly above normal. Highs typically ranged from the upper 80s to
low 90s along the coast and low to mid 90s inland, with lows often
in the low to mid 70s. An increase in rainfall and cloudiness toward
the end of June did drop temperatures slightly, with values near to
just a few degrees below normal. The only daily temperature records
set or tied during June 2025 were a handful of warm minimum
temperature records during mid-month. One of these occurred at
Daytona Beach and four occurred at Sanford when lows didn`t fall
below the mid to upper 70s.

Average temperatures for June 2025 were near to just above normal.
At Fort Pierce, the average temperature of 79.9 degrees was exactly
normal for the month, and for Daytona Beach, Sanford, Orlando, and
Melbourne average temperature departures were around 1 to 1.5
degrees above normal. It was the 8th warmest June on record for
Sanford and at Melbourne it was the 9th warmest June on record.

...Rainfall...

A weak frontal boundary stalled near the Lake Okeechobee region to
start off June, with showers and storms generally limited to
Okeechobee County and the Treasure Coast for the first couple days
of the month. This boundary then lifted northward with an increase
in rainfall across all of east central Florida on the 3rd and 4th.
Drier than normal conditions then set in for several days as the
front lifted north of the area. During mid-month, the subtropical
ridge axis remained across central Florida, with scattered showers
and storms developing most days. However, greatest coverage of this
activity focused inland and west of east central Florida. Another
drier period set in for a few days from the 23rd through the 25th
before rainfall picked up into late June. Scattered to numerous
showers and storms occurred most days across east central Florida
from the 26th through the 30th. Overall during the last 5 days of
the month, widespread precipitation amounts of 1-3 inches fell
across east central Florida, with localized totals of 4-7 inches.

Despite this increase in rainfall in late June, overall rainfall
amounts still ended up below normal by around 2-4 inches for many
locations. There were some spots northwest of I-4, across extreme
northern Brevard and also inland of the Treasure Coast where
rainfall was near to above normal for the month. Totals across these
areas reached up to 8-12 inches, while across much of the rest of
east central Florida, monthly amounts were closer to 3-6 inches.
