A Moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents exists at all central Florida Atlantic beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard and never enter the water alone. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Hazardous boating conditions will continue today, with northwest winds up to 20 to 25 knots and seas up 6 to 8 feet in the Gulf Stream. Seas will range from 4 to 6 feet near shore. Small Craft Advisories remain in effect for all local Atlantic waters out to 60 nautical miles through 4 PM this afternoon, and then persist for the offshore waters into tonight. .FIRE WEATHER... Sensitive fire weather conditions will exist today. Northwest winds will increase to around 15 mph, with gusts up to 20 to 25. Minimum relative humidity values will range from the upper 20s to low to mid 30s this afternoon. Weather conditions and vegetation dryness will lead to a higher danger of wildfire spread. Any unattended fires will be likely to escape. Rapid spreading due to embers and vegetation dryness may hamper containment efforts given the forecasted gusty winds. .RIVER FLOOD IMPACT... The Saint Johns River near Astor is forecast to continue a very slow decline through Minor Flood Stage, with a few brief rises possible due to northwesterly winds. Residents and interests along the river should continue to expect prolonged flood impacts. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. At least a Moderate Risk of dangerous rip currents is expected at the central Florida Atlantic beaches this weekend into early next week. Cooler air is forecast to remain over east central Florida into the weekend. Minimum wind chill values in the mid 30s to low 40s are forecast for early Saturday morning. Sensitive fire weather conditions are forecast to persist into the weekend. Low relative humidity will produce an increased fire danger. Residents and interests along the Saint Johns River near Astor should continue to expect prolonged flood impacts. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight. $$ Sedlock/Weitlich
