This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Florida.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated to scattered showers and lightning storms are forecast,
with the highest chances focused from Leesburg to Orlando, south
to Lake Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast this afternoon.
Occasional lightning strikes and gusty winds will accompany the
most organized activity.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Hot, humid conditions will produce heat index values of 98 to 102
degrees. A Moderate HeatRisk remains across east central Florida,
affecting individuals most sensitive to this level of heat or
those without adequate cooling and hydration.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
A high risk of life-threatening rip currents exists at all
central Florida Atlantic beaches. Entering the water is highly
discouraged.

.RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...
The Saint Johns River at Astor is forecast to remain in minor
flood stage today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Lower rain and lightning storm chances on Saturday exist before
deeper moisture returns to the area from Sunday into next week.
The risk for locally heavy rainfall and minor flooding increases,
especially by the middle of next week.

A broad area of low pressure is expected to form over the south-
central Gulf of Mexico this weekend and is being monitored for
potential tropical development next week.

Onshore flow and building swells will bring rough surf and a
continued high risk of rip currents to the beaches this weekend
into next week.

Boating conditions will become poor to hazardous this weekend
into next week as seas build and persistent onshore flow
strengthens.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.
