...NEAR-CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...

Dry conditions build today with min RHs falling between 30-35 percent.
Although winds begin light early in the period, models continue to
reflect an increasing trend in the near term. As the surface heats,
elevated winds aloft should be able to reach the ground. Winds will
increase to 10-13 mph by early afternoon. A subtle decreasing trend
is then forecast into the late afternoon. Gusts up to 18-20 mph will
produce conditions near Red Flag in the afternoon. Generally good smoke
dispersion is forecast. There is low confidence for fog to develop
overnight. However, calm conditions overnight could still allow for
settling smoke into early Wednesday morning.
