.DISCUSSION...
Deep moisture remains in place today, continuing above normal rain
and lightning storm chances (50-70%), then drier conditions
filter in Friday and the weekend, lowering rain chances (up to
around 50% Friday). Highest lightning storm chances after 4 PM
today, and 6 PM Friday. Light SE winds early this morning increase
a little to 5-10 mph, with gusts to around 15 mph in the afternoon,
then becoming light again overnight. Similar pattern Friday. Min
RH around 60 pct today, decreasing to around 50 pct Friday. Smoke
dispersion Generally Good today, becoming Poor Fair Friday.
Heat concerns increase going into the weekend. High temperatures
in the L-M90s with peak afternoon heat indices in the M100s today,
increasing a bit Friday with high temperatures in the M90s, though
the slightly drier conditions keep peak afternoon heat indices in
the M100s.
