.DISCUSSION...

Light southwesterly winds become easterly this afternoon as the
east coast sea breeze develops and moves inland, with a 40 percent
chance of shower and storm development near the burn site,
especially after 2 PM. Any storms that develop may be capable of
producing frequent lightning strikes, wind gusts to 45 to 55 mph,
and heavy downpours. Aside from showers and storm hazards, there
are no fire weather concerns anticipated near the burn site. Winds
are forecast to remain below 15 mph, with minimum RH values around
70 percent. Afternoon smoke dispersion values are forecast to be
poor near the site as a result of weak transport winds. Higher
coverage of showers and storms are anticipated into Saturday near
the burn site, with continued poor dispersions.
