.Discussion...
We expect near-critical fire weather conditions early this
afternoon as relative humidity values drop to 28-35%, except along
the immediate coast. Northwest winds of 10-14 mph, with gusts
around 20 mph, will persist. The significant fire potential index
remains moderate today. Wind and humidity trends will be monitored
closely. Very good dispersion this afternoon.
High pressure moves overhead by tonight, bringing lighter winds.
However, low relative humidity values of 30-35% are expected again
on Wednesday over the interior.
Fog potential and other remarks...widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
