.DISCUSSION...
A summertime pattern will continue into early next week, with light
south to southwesterly winds maintaining deep moisture over east
central Florida. High coverage of showers and storms each afternoon,
especially along the sea breeze collision, with convection
persisting into the evening hours. Precip chances 60-70% area wide
through at least Monday. Storm threats include lightning strikes,
wind gusts up to 50 mph, small hail, and locally heavy downpours.
Any activity is expected to diminish through the late evening, with
drier conditions for the overnight hours. Prior to convection, high
temperatures will reach the lower to mid-90s today and upper 80s to
lower 90s Sunday and Monday. Peak heat indices will be as high as
100-106 today. No min RH concerns. Fair to good afternoon smoke
dispersion forecast this weekend.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
