.DISCUSSION...
A very moist airmass continues across the area through the weekend,
maintaining above normal coverage of diurnal showers and lightning
storms each day (rain chances 50-70%). Showers and isolated storms
will be able to develop into the morning hours, with increasing
coverage of storms through the afternoon and evening. Storms and
showers will be capable of wind gusts to 35-45 mph, occasional to
frequent cloud to ground lightning, and locally heavy rainfall
leading to minor flooding of urban and low lying areas. The east
coast sea breeze will transition winds to the southeast along the
coast each afternoon. Wind speeds will generally be 5-10 mph, but
will have the potential to increase up to 10-15 mph along the coast
behind the sea breeze.
No Min RH concerns as deep moisture will keep RH values generally
above 60 percent. Dispersion values will range from Fair to
Generally Good into the weekend. Temperatures continue in the upper
80s to low 90s with peak afternoon heat indices 100-107F.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
