.Discussion...
Weak high pressure is forecast to prevail across east central
Florida for the remainder of the week and into the weekend,
keeping conditions mostly dry and winds relatively light and
variable. Wind speeds are expected to remain below 15 over the
next several days. The development of a weak sea breeze and the
subsequent push inland will cause winds to turn more east-
southeast each afternoon, becoming light and variable once more
during the overnight hours. A plume of moisture remains situated
across the peninsula, with minimum RH values forecast above
critical thresholds. Afternoon smoke dispersion values are
forecast to be poor to fair today, becoming fair to generally good
on Thursday. Fog development will continue to be a concern over
the next several days.
Fog potential and other remarks...Areas of dense fog are forecast
across much of east central Florida this morning, with visibility
reductions down to one quarter of a mile or less possible in some
spots. Visibilities are forecast to improve late morning. Fog
development will be possible again late tonight into early
Thursday morning. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke
from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is not
forecast.
