.Discussion...
High pressure continues to influence the local pattern into early
next week, with the ridge axis north of east central Florida. Onshore
flow will continue into next week, becoming breezy and gusty in
the afternoons as the sea breeze develops and moves inland. Very
sensitive fire weather conditions will persist, with no
precipitation forecast to relieve continued drying of fuels.
While conditions will remain sensitive and near Red Flag at times
over the interior, the highest wind speeds are expected to occur
near the coast, where min RH is forecast above critical levels.
Southeast winds relax a bit compared to the last couple days, but
continue to pick to around 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph in
the afternoon. Min RH continues between 35-45% over the interior
counties and 45-55% for coastal areas. Very Good to Excellent
dispersion each day. Very similar conditions look to continue
through early next week.
Fog potential and other remarks...Patchy ground fog will be
possible in wind sheltered locations, but otherwise widespread fog
is not forecast. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke
from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is not
forecast.
