.DISCUSSION...
Atlantic ridge axis will shift near to north of the area through
late week, with an onshore (easterly) flow forecast tomorrow through
Friday. Winds will increase to around 5-10 mph each day, and up to
10-15 mph behind the inland moving east coast sea breeze each
afternoon. Drier air will continue below normal rain chances
Thursday (10-20%), but a passing inverted surface trough will
increase moisture and lead to a rise in shower and storms across the
area on Friday, with rain chances up to 40-60%. No minimum RH
concerns anticipated. Dispersion values will be generally good both
Thursday and Friday. Hot and humid conditions to persist, with highs
in the low to mid 90s and peak heat indices exceeding 100F areawide.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
