.DISCUSSION...
After mainly quiet mornings, the advancing sea breeze and eventual
collision with the Gulf breeze should spark scattered showers and
storms each afternoon and evening. By the weekend, high pressure
settles southward, pushing the focus for daily storm development to
the eastern half of the peninsula. For today and Friday, rain
chances range from 20-30% near the coast up to around 40-70% over
the interior. Erratic wind gusts of 40+ mph and frequent lightning
are the primary hazards from the strongest storms.
Hot temperatures will build over the next few days, with peak heat
indices from 98 to 104 degrees. RH minima remain above critical
thresholds as peak dispersions range from fair to good.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
