.DISCUSSION...
Lower rain chances across east central Florida today, though breezy
northeast winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph are forecast
this afternoon. Rain chances then increase on Thursday and beyond
(50 to 70 percent) as a weak stalled boundary sets up south of the
area along with persistent breezy to windy onshore flow locally.
Wind speeds increase Thursday to around 15 mph, with gusts to 30 mph
possible. Storm chances remain low over the next several days,
generally around 30 percent. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible
and could result in localized flooding, especially along the coast.
Minimum RH values are forecast to remain well above critical
thresholds with east to northeast transport winds of 15 to 20 mph
and greater keeping good to very good smoke dispersion values across
the area through at least Friday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
