.DISCUSSION...
Atlantic ridge axis shifts south of the area through the weekend,
with flow gradually becoming offshore and increasing into Sunday.
Light W/SW winds forecast Saturday, with the inland moving east
coast sea breeze switching winds out of the east-southeast around 10
mph as it moves inland. Winds will then increase out of the west on
Sunday around 10 mph, with the east coast sea breeze delayed and
likely pinned near to east of I-95. A wet pattern of scattered to
numerous showers and lightning storms is forecast into the weekend
and early next week as highest diurnal rain chances will be focused
across the eastern peninsula. There are no critical RH concerns
through the period. Smoke dispersion values will be Poor to Fair on
Saturday, then back to Good to Very Good for Sunday. Remaining hot
and humid with highs in the low to mid 90s, and peak heat index
values forecast to reach around 102-107F for much of the area.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
