.DISCUSSION...
Rather unsettled weather persists through Tuesday with rain and
storm chances ranging from 70-80 percent across east central
Florida. Waves of eastward-moving showers and storms should push
from the Gulf Coast over our area, with activity starting earlier
than usual across the northern half of the area before drifting east
and south in the afternoon hours. Higher rain chances and increased
cloud cover should limit highs to the upper 80s to low 90s, with
peak heat index values as high as 95-105 degrees ahead of showers
and storms. Some stronger storms will be capable of producing
frequent lightning strikes, gusty winds of 40-45 mph and locally
heavy rainfall.
Southwest winds will persist with speeds generally below 15 mph,
with a few gusts to 20 mph in the afternoon will be possible. No min
RH concerns. Smoke dispersion values will be generally good through
Tuesday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
