.Discussion...High pressure to our north slides east over the
Atlantic and winds turn southerly today, becoming breezy/gusty
with sustained winds increasing to near 15 mph with gusts up to
25 mph. A weak cold front is forecast to reach central Florida
Saturday then stall across south Florida Sunday. Very low rain
chances exist (less than 20%) from Orlando/Titusville northward
early Saturday. There are no Min RH concerns but gusty south winds
today will produce a fire sensitive day with potential for any new
or existing brush fires to spread rapidly. Dispersion values will
be Generally Good to Very Good today and only Fair to Poor on
Saturday as winds decrease within the frontal zone.
Fog potential...Patchy fog will be possible early this morning.
The best chance for dense fog will be in the form of sea fog
spreading inland from the Atlantic Ocean north of Fort Pierce.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
