.DISCUSSION...
Breezy onshore flow and high rain chances will continue today and
Monday as we remain in the southern periphery of high pressure
sliding offshore off the Atlantic seaboard. Winds will remain out of
the East 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph with scattered to
numerous fast moving showers and isolated lightning storms, with the
highest chances in the afternoon. Rain chances 50-60% today increase
to 70% areawide Monday. There is a threat for localized heavy
rainfall especially Monday. Smoke dispersion values will be Good to
Very Good despite lower mixing heights thanks to strong transport
winds. Some drier air is forecast to move in from the east by
midweek, but winds will remain breezy in the afternoons, especially
along the coast.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
