.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will continue to build over the south-central Florida
peninsula through early next week, with south to southwest winds
prevailing. Due to the dominate offshore flow, the east coast sea
breeze will remain pinned closer to the coast each afternoon,
allowing for the west coast sea breeze to be more dominate across
east central Florida late in the day (wind speeds will generally be
10 mph or less each day). Scattered showers and lightning storms are
forecast each afternoon and early evening as collisions between the
west/east coast sea breezes and outflow boundaries occur across the
local area. Hot and humid conditions persists through at least early
next week , with afternoon highs in the low to mid-90s and peak heat
indices of 100-105F. No min RH concerns. Smoke dispersion values
will be good to very good (and excellent across areas north of I-4)
each afternoon through early next week.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
