.DISCUSSION...
Very dry air with some sensitive RH values settles across the area
today and Friday behind a cold front, which pushes through Central
Florida quickly but quietly this morning. Min RHs today forecast to
drop to 35-45% along and north of I-4, decreasing Friday to less
than 40% across most of area, down to around 30% north of I-4. Light
westerly winds early this morning shift northwest at 5-10 mph in the
late morning and afternoon behind the front, becoming light
northerly tonight, then variable at 5 mph or less Friday as the
center of high pressure behind the front moves over or just north of
Central Florida. Afternoon smoke dispersion today will be Generally
Good, then Friday becoming Poor. On Saturday, the high pushes
offshore but the ridge axis will continue to extend back towards
Florida while weakening, keeping winds light and mostly variable
until a light onshore breeze establishes in the afternoon. Humidity
quickly recovers with min RHs 50% or higher. Rain is not forecast
through Saturday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread dense fog is not
forecast this morning or tonight. Localized visibility reductions
due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog
is not forecast.
