.DISCUSSION...
A weak frontal boundary will remain quasi-stationary north of
central Florida through the weekend, which will continue above
normal rain chances, around 80 percent, both Saturday and Sunday as
deep moisture pools across the area. Greatest shower and lightning
storm development will be into the afternoon and early evening
hours, with initial development along the coast during the morning
and early afternoon spreading inland increasing in intensity and
coverage as the east coast sea breeze pushes into the interior.
However, onshore flow will maintain a chance for showers and storms
along the coast overnight and into the early morning hours. Winds
will generally persist out of the east-southeast through the
weekend, with speeds increasing to 10-15 mph each afternoon at the
coast behind the sea breeze. Highs will be a little closer to normal
through Sunday, in the upper 80s to low 90s. However, humid
conditions will still produce peak heat index values around 100-105
degrees each afternoon ahead of developing showers and storms.
No min RH concerns. Afternoon smoke dispersion will overall be Fair
to Generally Good through Sunday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
