Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Fri Sep 11 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Plentiful moisture remains over east central Florida through early
next week. Scattered showers and lightning storms will continue each
day, primarily during the afternoon and early evening hours. Gusty
winds, frequent lightning, and torrential rain are possible with the
more organized activity. Light south-southeast winds turn more
onshore behind the daily afternoon sea breeze. There are no Min RH
concerns, and poor to fair dispersion will continue into next week.
Daytime temperatures will peak in the lower 90s combining with high
humidity to produce heat index values of 100 to 106 degrees.

Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
