.Discussion...
High pressure remains in control, keeping warm, dry conditions in
place. Gusty onshore winds develop today, continuing each day through
the weekend. Sustained winds near 15 mph are forecast with occasional
to frequent gusts of 20-25 mph possible each afternoon. While onshore
flow will allow min RH values to recover some compared to previous days,
values between 35-40 percent are expected to persist across the interior
into early next week. Very good smoke dispersion exists each afternoon
into the weekend. Near Red Flag conditions will promote an elevated
fire weather risk across the interior today.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
