.DISCUSSION...
Unsettled weather is forecast through at least Monday, with above-
normal daily coverage (60-80%) of showers and storms. Southwesterly
flow will push storms toward the eastern half of the peninsula, and
weak energy passing overhead may allow storms to develop earlier
than usual in the morning hours. The strongest storms will be
capable of producing erratic wind gusts up to around 45 mph,
frequent lightning, and torrential rainfall.
With the high ambient moisture in place, RH minima will remain well
above critical thresholds through the weekend. Good to Very Good
peak dispersion is anticipated by late morning/early afternoon.
Seasonably hot temperatures in the lower 90s are forecast each day,
with peak heat indices from 100 to 105 degrees.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
