Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
344 PM EDT Tue May 6 2025

.Discussion...
A weak frontal boundary lingering near to north of central Florida
will maintain sufficient moisture to continue scattered shower and
thunderstorm development each afternoon and evening. Greatest
coverage will be across the interior through early this evening
(PoPs up to 40-60 percent), with highest rain chances then inland
and north of the Treasure Coast into Wednesday and Thursday (up to
50-70 percent). The potential for strong to isolated severe storms
will exist across inland areas, west of I-95 late this afternoon
and evening, and a few stronger storms will continue to be possible
each day through late week.

Relatively light southerly flow will exist across east central
Florida each day, with winds increasing to around 10 mph along the
coast out of the east-southeast each afternoon as the sea breeze
forms and moves inland. No Min RH concerns are forecast, with
dispersion values ranging from Fair to Generally Good.

Fog potential and other remarks...Fog is not forecast. However,
localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
