...NWS Damage Survey for 07/16/2025 Tornado Event...

.Overview...Numerous supercell thunderstorms occurred during the
afternoon of July 16 2025.  Mainly tree damage was noted from the
tornadoes that did occur though some structural damage was
documented from the Dodgeville tornado.

Survey Summary:
An EF-1 rated tornado developed near the Farm and Fleet in
Dodgeville, first moving northeast through a corn field.  The
tornado then continued to the northeast, impacting numerous trees
and one outbuilding.  The strongest damage occurred off of County
Road ZZ, where numerous large, healthy hardwood trees were
uprooted. The tornado ended near Knobs Road, just west of County
Road H.

Survey Summary:
Tornado started along Highway 78 near Racek Rd and went through
the hills near the Black Hawk Unit before crossing County Highway
Y, ending just across Highway 12.  The main area of damage was to
the Birchwood Drive neighborhood where about 20 to 40 trees were
uprooted or had multiple limbs broken off.  Multiple storm chaser
videos show the main tornado tracking just west of this
neighborhood.  The only structural damage noted that wasn`t from
falling trees was to one house on Birchwood Drive that had a few
shingles pulled up.

Survey Summary:
Brief tornado that occurred in a field north of Beaver Dam west
of Buckhorn Rd.  Reports from emergency management and storm
chasers that there was a 15 to 20 second period where the
rotation was in contact with the ground.  Damage was to the edge
of a corn field and a tree that had a few tree branches knocked
down.

Survey Summary:
Tornado developed south of Hustisford near the intersection of
Hillcrest Rd and County Rd E where a corn field had a convergent
path going north-northeast through mainly farmland.  The tornado
hit some trees south of Highway 60 and east of County Rd E before
tracking north and going through near the intersection of Juneau
St and Oakwood Blvd.  The tornado appears to have ended out over
Sinissippi Lake.
